                    Let us therefore approach the story of the great deeds of the blessed Paul, the one who more than them all labored, as the word of the Spirit that spoke in him . . .
                
                
                    ܥܒܪܝܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܒܢܝܡܝܢ. ܦܪܝܫܝܐ ܒܗܪܣܝܣ ܕܝܠܗ. ܘܩܕܡ ܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ ܕܓܡܠܝܐܝܠ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܘܪܕܝܐ ܒܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܬܕܪܫ ܗܘܐ.
                
                
                    Il était donc juif, de la tribu de Benjamin, de la secte des Pharisiens. Il étudia la loi chez le savant docteur Gamaliel.
                
                
                    He was a Hebrew, from the tribe of Benjamin, of the sect of the Pharisees. He was trained in the law before the feet of the cultivated teacher Gamaliel.
                
                
                    ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܡܢ ܣܓܝܐܘܬܐ ܕܬܘܠܡܕܗܘܢ ܐܬܬܙܝܥ ܚܣܡܐ ܒܝܗܘ̈ܕܝܐ ܨܠܘܒ̈ܐ: ܘܡܓܢܒܐܝܬ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܦܣܩܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܐܝܠܢ̈ܐ ܗܢܿܘܢ. ܘܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܫܘܐ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܥܠܡܐ ܠܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܕܐܣܝܘܬܐ ܕܡܢܗܘܢ: ܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܝܥ̣ܘ ܐܝܠܢ̈ܐ ܗܢܿܘܢ. ܗܠܝܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܬܫܥܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝ ܦܘܠܘܣ... ܐܝܢ ܘܐܡܝܢ.
                
                
                    À tel point que le grand nombre de leurs disciples excita la jalousie des juifs crucifieurs, qui coupèrent ces arbres furtivement pendant la nuit. Et parce que le monde n’est pas digne du don de la guérison qu’ils procurent, ils n’ont pas repoussé. Telle est donc l’histoire de Mâr Paul… Oui, amen.
