John the Nazarite - ܝܘܚܢܢ ܢܙܝܪܐ

John the solitary was a monk of Ṭur ʿAbdin. He might be John, the perfect Nazarite, whom John of Ephesus mentions. He was a monk from Zuqnin near Amida. He was forced to leave his cave on account of Chalcedonian aggression.
