Benjamin, son of
Jacob is the biblical patriarch from the book of
Genesis in the Hebrew Bible. The favored
youngest son of Jacob and Rachel,
he was also the favorite of his older brother Joseph. The two were
commemorated together in the Syriac hagiographic tradition.1
