Mary - ܡܐܪܝܐ

In hagiography: Mary was commemorated with her Xenophon who was a noble husband and father living in Constantinople. This Byzantine Greek tradition was imported into the Syriac world. Her sons John and Arcadius are also venerated for their holiness. Xenophon and Mary lived as a continent married couple and instructed their sons to support the poor and the monks.1
