http://syriaca.org/person/5076
“Domitian was a relative of the emperor Maurice and staunchly Chalcedonian bishop of Melitene from a relatively early age. Joh. Eph., EH 5.19, introduces him as one of Maurice's main theological advisers. Domitian played an important role in the campaign leading to the restoration of Khosrow II in 591. He instigated a persecution of the miaphysites in the eastern provinces in the late 590s.” 3
