ܕܺܝܕܺܝܥ ܝܰܘܡܳܢ ܕܰܝܪܐ ܕܡܰܟ݂ܰܪ ܗ̄ ܘܰܐܕܺܝ ܟܽܘܪܕܳܐܝܬ. ܕܰܝܪܳܐ ܙܥܘܽܪܐ ܒܓܶܒ ܕܶܦܢܗ ܩܪܺܝܬܐ ܒܐܽܘܪܚܐ ܕܚܰܣܢ ܟܺܐܦܐ. ܐܶܬܒܢܺܝ ܗܰܝܟܠܗ ܒܰܬܚܘ̈ܡܰܝ ܫܢܰܬ 770 ܚܪܶܒ ܒܰܩܪܳܒܐ ܕܰܥܒܰܪ ܒܩܶܛܠܐ ܕܐܰܚܪܳܝܐ ܕܕܰܝܪ̈ܳܝܰܘܗܝ ܩܳܡܘ ܡܢܗ ܬܠܬܐ ܐܶܦܝܣܩܘ̈ܦܐ.2
المعروف اليوم بدير مَخَر اي الوادي بالكردية، دير صغير بجانب قرية دفنة في طريق حصن كيفا بنى هيكله في حدود سنة 770 اندثر في الحرب الماضية بقتل آخر رهبانه، نشأ منه ثلاثة اساقفة.3
A monastery by Defne.
a small monastery near the village of Dafna on the way to Ḥiṣn Kifa, now called Makhr or Wadi in Kurdish. Its church, built in 770, was destroyed in World War I and the last of its monks was killed. Three bishops graduated from it.4
