“ܡܰܙܪܰܥܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܒܰܫܦܘܠܐ ܕܛܘܪܐ ܕܡܰܪܕܝܢ ܘܰܒܬܰܝܡܢܳܗ̇ ܐܶܬܩܰܪܝܰܬ ܒܫܶܡ ܡܳܪܝ ܐܠܝܐ. ܡܛܠ ܕܥܺܕܬܳܗ̇ ܒܓܰܘܗ̇ ܣܺܝܡܳܐ ܘܡܶܬܐܡܪ ܠܗ̇ ܬܘܪܟܳܐܝܬ ܓܶܦܬܠܶܟ” 1
“مزرعة بلحف جبل ماردين جنوبيها سميت باسم ايليا النبي لوجود بيعته فيها، ويقال لها ايضا جفتلك بالتركية.” 2
“a farm south of Mardin, at the foot of the mountain of Mardin. It was named after the prophet Elijah, because of a church in it bearing the name of this prophet. Today it is called Çiftlik in Turkish.” 3
