was built in the name of the Virgin and St. Theodorus. It is a small monastery hewn in the rocks in a mountain overlooking the Zaʿfaran Monastery and housed a group of monks. We have a great deal of information about it since the fourteenth century. At times it was administered by a bishop. It became empty, however, about 1927.4
