ܟܕ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܦܪܝܣܩܘܣ ܐܢܬܘܦܛܘܣ ܒܐܘܪܘܦܐ. ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܟܢܫܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܟܪ̈ܣܛܝܢܐ ܒܟܠܩܝܕܘܢܐ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ. ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܠܦܪܝܣܩܘܣ ܐܢܬܘܦܛܘܣ ܪܚܡܐ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܕܫܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܐܦܠܝܢܘܣ̣. ܘܣܘܦܝܣܛܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܡܪܕܘܬܐ ܕܝܘ̈ܢܝܐ. 1
Alors que Priscus était proconsul en Europe, il y avait une assemblée nombreuse de chrétiens dans la ville de Chalcédoine. Le proconsul Priscus avait un ami scélérat qui s’appelait Apellianos, qui était sophiste dans l’éducation des Grecs. 1
