En l’an 733 d’Alexandre, an 2 de Warharan, eut lieu le martyre du vaillant pami les martyrs Mâr Jacques de Beyt Lapat, très zélé pour la vérité de son Seigneur, après avoir apostasié et être devenu païen aux jours de Yezdegerd, qu’il servait et de qui il avait reçu des cadeaux et devant qui il était très honoré. 1

Et bénis le village qui célèbre la fête de sa mémoire avec joie. Fils qui par son amour l’a fait vaincre, bénis et garde en tout temps. Et à toi la louange dans les siècles des siècles. 1
