ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܘܬ ܕܠܝܠܐ ܕܕܠܐ ܕܚܠܬܐ ܐܢܫ ܠܫܪܒܐ ܕܬܫܥܝܬܗ ܕܛܘܒܢܐ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܢܬܩܪܒ. ܗܿܝ ܕܥܿܒܪܐ ܗܝ ܠܗܠ ܡܢ ܟܠܗ ܡܬܚܐ ܕܬܚܘܡܐ ܕܬܫܥܝܬܐ̣. ܘܪܡ ܗܘ ܫܪܒܗ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܡ̈ܠܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܟܘܠ ܗܘ̈ܢܝܢ. 1
Il n’est facile pour personne de s’approcher sans crainte du récit de l’histoire du bienheureux Jacques, car elle dépasse toute dimension de la limite de l’histoire et son récit est plus élevé que toute parole et toute pensée. 1

En ayant retracé brièvement le combat des luttes du bienheureux, ses courses et son service pour la gloire de Dieu qui l’a choisi, fortifié et placé dans son Église au temps de la persécution, pour que tous nous soyons aidés par sa prière et celle de tous les saints. Amen et amen. 1
