ܝܘܡܢܐ ܙܕܩ ܠܢ ܕܥܡ ܢܒܝܐ ܪܘܚܢܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܢܙܡܪ. ܕܩܪܝܒ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܬܒܝܪ̈ܝ ܠܒܐ̣. ܘܠܡ̈ܟܝܟܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܦܪܩܿ. 1
Aujourd’hui nous devons chanter avec le prophète spirituel David: “Le Seigneur est proche des coeurs brisés et il sauve les esprits humbles.” 1

En l’an 707 selon le comput des Grecs, les Huns sortirent et firent beaucoup de prisonnierset ils dévastèrent le pays et ils vinrent jusqu’à Édesse. 1

Alors ils l’emmenèrent et le firent sortir de la ville et il reçut la sentence de l’épée; et à cause de beaucoup de persuasion il fut préservé du feu. Et tous glorifièrent et rendirent grâce à Dieu qui fait la volonté de ceux qui le craignent, qui écoute et reçoit la prière de ceux qui se rassemblent à sa porte et se réfugient en ses saints. À lui la gloire… Amen. 1
