Abstract

The Pauline Epistles of the New Testament are extant in Syriac in the Peshitta and Harqlean versions. While pre-Peshitta quotations from the Pauline Epistles are known in Syriac from patristic authors, it is uncertain how the translation or translations behind these are related to the pre-Peshitta Old Syriac Gospels . The Philoxenian version of the Pauline Epistles is no longer extant.1
