ܥܠ ܟܢܘܫܝܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܢܐ ܕܛܘܒ̈ܢܐ ܕܒܡܕܝܢܬ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܠܡܠܟܬܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܬܐ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܕܪܕܘܦܝܐ ܡܟܢܫ ܗܘܐ: ܡܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܘܠܫ̈ܢܐ ܡ̈ܫܚܠܦܐ ܕܐܬܪ̈ܘܬܐ̣. ܨܒܿܝܢ ܚܢܢ ܕܩܠܝܠ ܡܢ ܣܓܝ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܢܪܫܘܡ. 1
Sur cette communauté de bienheureux qui fut rassemblée dans la capitale de l’Empire par l’impératrice croyante au temps de la persécution, provenant de nombreux peuples et de diverses langues régionales, nous voulons écrire à son propos brièvement. 1

Et il subsiste jusqu’à maintenant pour la gloire de Dieu, et à cause de la confession de son nom, et pour l’accomplissement de ce qui est écrit: “Le Seigneur connaît les siens et il est connu des siens.” 1
